The Lawrence County Public Health Clinic strives to protect, promote, and advance the health and safety of the community. The mission of the Public Health Clinic is achieved through rapid and effective response to public health needs, leadership and excellence in public health practices, and advancement of public health science. Our goal is to keep you healthy, safe and promote preventative care.

  • Lab Program (Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 3:00pm)
  • Referral Services
  • $5.00 per package discount on Birth Control. You must have a prescription with you to receive a discount.

What to Know Before Your Appointment

  • Know what type of immunization you need, your immunization history.
  • Bring insurance information with you.
  • For WIC services, please bring your yellow WIC ID card, proof of address and proof of income for all household members for the last 30 days.
  • We offer a full Lab service by appointment only. Please be sure to schedule your appointment and submit your lab orders to us by the Monday prior to your appointment.
  • The following services are appointment only: WIC, Immunizations, and Labs. Please arrive 15minutes prior to your appointment. If you are more than 15minutes late, your appointment may be rescheduled.
  • Walk-ins are welcome for the following services: Blood Pressure checks, Tetanus shots needed due to injury, pregnancy tests, TB tests, flu vaccine, birth control, and B12 injections. These walk-in services are accepted Monday - Wednesday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, and Thursdays 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

The Health Departments Environmental Health Service is committed to enhancing the quality of our environment, promoting a safe and healthy community for Lawrence County residents and surrounding areas. We seek to serve the needs of the rural community by providing essential environmental health services designed to ensure people can work, raise families, recreate, and grow without the threat of foodborne, or vector borne disease and to protect and preserve environmental resources such as earth, water, air, fauna, and flora. We work to improve the health of our environment by promoting collaboration and education

Environmental healths areas of focus

  • A Food Protection Program that includes intensive food service manager training, food establishment plan review, regulatory inspections, site specific specialized employee training, and required enforcement actions.
  • A Private Well Program that includes subdivision plan review, site feasibility studies, system design, regulatory inspections, sanitary surveys, and required enforcement actions.
  •  A General Environmental Program that includes liaison with federal, state and local government agencies, regulation of public swimming pools, tourist establishments, and the investigation of environmental complaints. Included with this element are many training courses offered to the public in subjects pertaining to environmental health.

  • This service is by appointment only.
  • Labs service runs only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • Payment for services and any fees will be due at time of service.
  • Please remember to submit your lab orders to us at least by the Monday before your appointment or your appointment may be rescheduled.
  • Please try to arrive 15 min prior to the scheduled appointment time if you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be rescheduled.
